Promiscuous Women to be Blamed for all the Earthquakes Says Top Cleric

We have had seen so many earthquakes in the past months from Haiti, Chile, China and Indonesia and most recently Australia to name a few.  Thousands of people perished, and millions worth of properties destroyed.  People are asking if there will ever any thing that scientists could do to predict an upcoming earthquake aside from Hollywood movies predicting the end of the world.  Have you ever wondered what the cause of these entire earthquakes?

Well, a senior Iranian cleric has come up with an answer.  And a very confident answer at that.

For Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi, the root cause of these trembling of the earth’s surface are promiscuous women and those women who wear immodest clothes.  They should be blamed for all the earthquakes and all these tremors will not stop lest these women mend their ways.

The cleric was quoted on saying to Iranian media,

“Many women who do not dress modestly … lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes. What can we do to avoid being buried under the rubble.  There is no other solution but to take refuge in religion and to adapt our lives to Islam’s moral codes.”

Then we will all have to blame Paris Hilton and Britney Spears I guess.  But the last time I checked, the men are the ones who mostly cause the trembling…well, depends on where the epicenter is.

What is your thought on this statement by the Iranian cleric?

Auctioning Ghosts Online, Great Make Money Online Business for Pinoys

Very odd news from New Zealand.

While people are into auction houses to fight over the preserved penis of a whale or the rotten underwear ancient rulers with ridiculous amounts thrown at the table, people in New Zealand bid online for two glass vials that fetched at $2,830 NZ dollars or about $1,983 US dollars, Monday.

The contents of two glass vials are not rare seminal fluids from a T-Rex or the sweat of Elvis Presley, but ghosts of two dead people!

The two souls of dead people inside the glass vials were said to have been captured by Avi Woodbury at Christchurch.  She placed stoppers at the vials and dipped them on a holy water.  This process she calls “dulls the spirits’ energy”.  PoOf!

The first ghost she said further was the soul of an old man who lived during the 1920s and the other one was that of a little girl.

Hundred of thousands of people went up to the auction page; name of the winning bidder was not made public.  Was the winning bidder named Lucifer?

Anyways, Woodbury said that after getting the share of the “exorcist fee” from the amount, remaining money will go the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Wow, many people can make lots of money catching the spirits of ladies and ghosts suddenly appearing on Balate Drive or the Malinta Tunnel or Film Center.

Could this already be the solution to the poverty of many Filipinos?  Seems like a great business to me. LOL!!!  WTF?!  Hahahaha!

Death is not the End of Everything, Even with your Bills

A dead man in the U.S. was still receiving bills from Verizon up to February 2010 despite his demise on June 2009.

Deceased Bill Young, through his daughter Cynthia Lacy went to Verizon to report the problem and presented the death certificate of his father.

Unfortunately, a Verizon representative had not granted her request to cut off the bill as she does not know the PIN (Personal Identification Number) of his father that already went with him unto the grave.

Cynthia complained about the problem with Verizon through the column of St. Petersburg Times and only then that the company corrected the error.  The company has also reprimanded the person who handled Young’s case and has been given proper coaching.  Lucy was also refunded the amount that was erroneously charged of her father’s account.

This made me remember the case of Cebu Pacific Air with their flight attendants not letting a child with disability board the plane on a Hong Kong-Manila flight saying that the manual prohibits them from permitting people with “mental abnormalities” to join the flight.

How ridiculous sometimes people can get.  An unfortunate effect maybe of the dry spell?
