People at the Malacañang confirmed the reports that a manicurist of our dear and most loving President Gloria Arroyo has been appointed as a board member of PAG-IBIG Housing Fund making people wonder if they are to scratch their head or applaud the move.

American citizen Gary Olivar defended he appointment saying,

Ang kanya pong kakatawanin is precisely yung maliliit na empleyado na siyang nangangailangan ng serbisyo ng Pag-IBIG (What she will represent are precisely those small employees who need the services of Pag-IBIG). Let us not hold her lowly status against her.”

The name of the manicurist is Anita “Nitz” Carpon and is said to be receiving a staggering monthly salary of P130,000!  Pardon me but, WTF!?

Jarius Bondoc of Philippine Star first spilled the beans and further said that Arroyo’s gardener named Armando Macapagal on the other hand was appointed as deputy of the Luneta Park Administration.

Bondoc wrote on his column,

“Professionals among Malacañang’s housekeeping staff are outraged. Not only did Gloria Macapagal Arroyo appoint her personal manicurist to the board of trustees of Pag-IBIG Housing Fund. She also earlier named her gardener as deputy of the Luneta Park Administration. Both postings are improper sinecures, Palace aides murmur.”

“A third insider doubts the two appointees’ credentials. Macapagal supposedly landscapes Malacañang lawns but does not manage people. Carpon is not known for financial expertise to oversee the multibillion-peso housing mutual fund of all employees. Nicknamed Nitz, she is often scolded by Arroyo for mismatching presidential handbags and shoes.”

Generals appointed as ambassadors and cabinet secretaries and general managers, now a manicurist and a gardener.

Maybe the manicurist knows how many dead toe nails Gloria has and GMA was so afraid for this confidential matter of national security to get leaked in the media?

Maybe the cute Gloria is the one who badly needs a psychological test.

What is happening to this country for God’s sake!!!

Don’t know what word to say, good thing a blogging buddy taught me a word of the day, “Crapalicious!”
