I certainly agree with the ratiocination of Justice Carpio – Morales…
The deepest core of my heart would like to applaud what has been stated in here…
Being comprised under one fundamental law of the land, which is the Constitution, we should behold unto this… we should give our hundred percent to the mandate enshrined in the Constitution irregardless of our own opinion…

I will agree on that one Christine…the Constitution should never be based on personal biases and prejudices or lest it will cease to be the governing law of the land that protects the equal rights of everyone.

But will we find any sign of relief against Justices who renders judgment using their own biases as the guiding tenets of their decisions or we will just be left cringing at their mercy?

I will have to disagree there elmot… What I am referring with the phrase, “personal opinion as not the basis of contradicting the fundamental law of the land” is not with regard to the discretion of justices… It is because if there can be ones who can give their opinion and at the same time consider it as a basis of jurisprudence, that would be the legal opinion of the Supreme Court Justices…
I have the highest respect to our judiciary… because they are considered as the ones who should and must interpret laws… Their opinions are different to ours…

Great that one was clarified…though I have a high esteem with the Supreme Court as a body, I certainly cannot give the same respect to some justices who for has twisted some established laws and doctrine to what seemingly a tailor-made interpretation of the constitution.
