News from US: General Motors Co. or GM will also make a car recall of over 1.3 million of its Chevrolet and Pontiac compact cars. The GM car recall will only be effective on cars sold on Canada, U.S. and Mexico. Though the cars are still to drive, but concerns were found that it is already quite difficult for drivers to steer if running below 15 mph.

The reason of the GM Car Recall:

Failure of the power steering of the cars is badly needed to be fixed.

GM Car Models Affected by the Recall:

Model cars to be recalled are those “2005-2010 Chevrolet Cobalts; 2007-2010 Pontiac G5s; 2005-2006 Pontiac Pursuits sold in Canada; 2005-2006 Pontiac G4s sold in Mexico.

Recalled cars will be replaced with new power steering parts in order to fix the problem.

GM’s Vice-President for quality said that,

“Recalling these vehicles is the right thing to do for our customers’ peace of mind.”

First it was Toyota, now GM followed suit.  Man, who would have thought that only roads are very dangerous to commuters and drivers…now even inside your own car you can easily end up like a cold fish.

What is your thought about another car recall?
