The victims’ families are the ones that really suffered the real pain of the tragedy.

It is indeed very tragic. This incident would give another bad image to Mindanao (as Maguindanao is in Mindanao). I’ve been asking myself, what do they get from killing, if they want to be elected or gain power in the place? These people are not only bastards but idiot and totally out their right minds.

It so happened that my nephews and Mangudadatu’s children went to the same school and they met their mother, now dead, and my nephews just couldn’t believe what happened. They’re shocked.

Thanks for the frequent visit Luke. As I shared, at the onset of the tragedy, I did not know what to write or if I will ever still write about it, feeling that I cannot find any words to describe the pain, anger and unjust I was languishing.

57 people were murdered with 30 of them journalists. So many lives ended in broad day light.

I felt the same way too. I wanted to resign my very own citizenship or just simply fly away from this country and find a new ground on foreign soil. Shame on them!

GMA certainly will not resign bro. For my next post later today; she is running on May 2010 for a congressional seat after her term as a president. What about that?

When we hear how brutal people were killed in Iraq or Somalia, we as Filipinos are outraged and sometimes feel comforted thinking that such heinous crimes will never happen in our country known for peace-loving, educated, reserved and religious people.

But this tragedy has proven otherwise. What a way to expose to the whole world a stain on our democratic society that will leave a perpetual imprint to everyone.

As some reports have indicated; these kinds of murder and hideous crimes have been a normal business for politicians on many parts of the country for a long time now but has not been reported nor brought into justice by the government - the administration condones such atrocities and sometimes is the hand that perpetrates the murder of activists and journalists.

It is our fervent hope that this will not become another page on the history book...

I totally agree. The Church and all religious groups in the country must denounce the crime too...though we have seen also in the past that some bishops have been very very silent as to all the excesses of the administration.

Even educational institutions must denounce this tragedy.
