Senator Manny Villar for President and His Delusions
It is all crap for me.
But this crap is now worth millions of pesos. And only a delusional billionaire could burn his mountains of cash on showing us over and over again till we bleed our eyes something that is full of lies and grandiose claims.
There is no other billionaire in town dude I am describing but that guy named Senator Manny Villar who branded himself as the messiah of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), BFF of the youth, “the one†who helped the poor to own their homes because he was once a squatter himself, saved the poor lady from that very gross “lumuwa ang buwa†episode and the guy who looks like a road barrier with his orange outfit always flashing that “V” sign. Nixon is that you?
On the most recent surveys, Money, ooppsss, Manny Villar rather is still soaring way up high among the ranks of Presidentiables. I am just glad that election is not yet held when those surveys were conducted lest I have already tied a rope on my neck with a big boulder on the other end and thrown myself at the deepest part of the Pasig River to be eaten by ugly gigantic janitor fish.
The Manny Villar for President ads which are played over and over again in the television and radio stations are all product of a traditional political campaigning: playing it over and over again like a hypnotic mantra that even your 2 year old sibling would soon memorize and endlessly sing; a good and easy to memorize song being played in a contemporary music genre; appealing visuals and of course delusional claims that borders on claiming to have the omnipotence of the One.
For heaven’s sake let us try to unravel the truth that is being buried.
Senator Villar is not the messiah of the OFWs. As far as I know he started his political career long before he even tried to fly to other countries and brought in troubled OFWs with all the ducumentation and media frenzy around. And he started his advocacy for this so-called new generation of heroes when he was already setting his eyes up for the Presidential race. That is what you call riding on the trend. I bet he used google trends for this quick advocacy. PoOf!
Nor is he man that could understand very truly the poor for he has made the dreams of many poor families to own their homes. Hello?! Trickery. What you had was basically all business. Business = profit. You already had the cash right at your book of assets from your real estate ventures even before these people could truly call their homes their own. If you were not a cold-blooded capitalist you could have not become a billionaire. And you owe your billions from these people who are still paying their mortgages. Were you some Illac Diaz or Tony Meloto who has built GK houses and communitieys, or even a President Carter, I could have thought otherwise. Duh!
And who will ever forget the C-5 road controversy? Double entry. Road projects leading to your properties.  Overpriced selling of properties to the government.  Instant big time cash.  Thought you are omnipotent? Ha! If you could not even speak for yourself and defend yourself from all these very clear graft and corrupt practices but by asking your lapdogs to speak for you and do some nasty unbecoming remarks and attitude when cornered, then you certainly do not deserve to become the next president on 2010 or even till the end of time; for you are just obviously as on the same mold and hue with the traditional politicians this country has had.
I will not even wonder if one of these days Willie Revillame is “officially” on your party’s senatoriables or even a running-mate. Susmaryusep!
Oh, I forgot that you are topping the surveys. I will just comfort myself that election is still many months from now and that your  name at least will never be listed on my ballot on that top most space.
ST = Sipa at Tadyak! Wataaaahhhh!!! That is more realistic. So better think twice of flashing that “V” sign again Bro.
What do you think of Sen. Manny Villar as a Presidentiable? Will you vote or not vote for him? Why?

I say the surveys are not that definitive considering that there are an estimated 92 Million Pinoys today and less than 2% of them participated in the so-called surveys.
What Villar has is a good PR team with deep pockets and in Philippine elections, it’s big factor to consider.
You may call him a Nixo, but don’t forget that Nixon got elected as President. Nagbitiw nga lang dahil sa Watergate scandal.

bro, tolerable ra sa akin si villar. he has achieved a lot and i think these issues thrown against him are part of the risks of being in government. in real life, people think that whenever there are governments projects, the head honcho gets a certain percentage. it could be true. but it could also be a lie. remember ramos when he has plenty of projects during his term. some people say that he’s corrupt but is just wise enough to hide them. really? well, does it show after his term? any obvious change in wealth or lifestyle? Parehas ba sila ni GMA?
villar is leading in surveys. he knows his target at this moment. both him and mar used the same strategies. but the later wasn’t successful enough in surveys. with the entry of noynoy, it could change. timing din kasi yan eh. whoever the administration endorses at this time will have a difficult time catching up with the two.
but i have yet another person in my list. yun lang.

Foremost, yeah, he had captured even 2 year old children. My niece, 2 years of age, flashes the V sign whenever his infomercial had been shown on TV.
Next, as agreed, they suck! LOL!
Lastly, I won’t vote for him.

Yehey, I can access your site easily now. I still have to learn about his programs and the others before I could decide.
But based on your post, I will have to think about it.

“Trapo” iyan si Money V. Ang aga-aga pa may mga paninira na siyang ginagawa sa kanyang katunggali sa pagka-pangulo.

What actually is funny as regards to survey is this: When the politician is up and ahead among the pack he would say that he is happy, but when someone has gotten ahead of him he comments that the survey is not conclusive.
What makes Manny V stand out against others indeed is his good strategy and “very deep” pocket loaded with lots of cash. But cash especially for the 2010 elections will not automatically give you the Presidential seat.
Yeah, Nixo was elected actually, but Americans I think much more the Japanese cling to “kahihiyan” and delicadeza than their Filipino counterparts.
Natalo nga lang talaga si Mar against Villar maski Mar has Korina on his side. Wais talaga tong si Manny.
Hmmm….now I am really very curious kung sino yung isa pang candidate na naglalaro sa isipan mo ehehehe!
Tapos nakakatawa kapag umaga when I go to work, some students are singing Manny Villar’s political jingle ehehhe!
Hay….
Hi Mam! Thanks for the visit. Ako rin actually, I am making these posts about presidentiables and the upcoming elections para makapag isip rin ng mabuti at matimbang kung sino ang iboboto.
Hi Splice! Heheheheh!

just scared to tell who I am, but I just want to share that Manny Villar gives cash to people here in my place to vote for him. Dirty politics.
Awts! Really? Well, that is part of the campaigning. But this early? Any clue where that place is?
Manny Villar promised a friend of mine a cabinet position when he wins. But at the same time, other presidentiables have promised my other friends of high positions as well. I’m confused.
.-= pinoygossipboy´s last blog ..Does this couple look fourteen-ish to you? =-.
Hahahha! I bet all politicians not only those in the ranks of the presidentiables are all promising intelligent, known and skilled people to appoint to a position once they win. Hehehhe!
Ano pa ba ang bago about diyan bro? Heheheh! Hmmmm…Ah! Secretary of Showbiz Concerns and Issues! Wahahha! Ayos!
LOLs. Better yet, presidential adviser on showbiz concerns. hahahahaha

That’s a good idea Elmot. Feature mo kaya lahat ng presidential aspirants para we could also learn from your research and thoughts. It would help us decide later. Thanks.

They could easily not vote for them and vote for their candidates instead. Discerning voters would be needed now. Significant information.

LOL. Malayo pa naman election, and we know how we Filipinos change overnight. So pwede pa maging ilusyonado muna si Villar.
Kaya lang mejo malakas talaga yung Noynoy. Flavor of the season eh.

Very interesting post, Elmot. And what an interesting series if you make good on your plan about these presidential candidates.
Can I make a suggestion? Here’s my idea: can you put in a good word or two about the candidates you find not up to par? It will make for a more balanced approach. It’s hardest to do especially when you write about candidates you have lots of issues against. But surely you’d find they have strengths and areas of expertise that might be good for the country?
I’m saying this because at the end of your post you’re asking readers’ opinion. If by some miracle I happen to believe in Manny Villar and I have good information or insights about his potential contribution to nation-building, do you honestly believe I’d be brave enough to say my piece?
Well, Ceblogger is Ceblogger. He sure knows how to go about making his views known without being obnoxious.
But some of us are not. We don’t want to displease you by taking the opposite view. Most of us would rather say you’re cool and you’re the man! With or without your pistols loaded with dumdum bullets. lols

Don’t worry Mam, I will do it soon. For now, I am posting more of my personal take on these presidentiables…
It is a project I am making of featuring each and every Presidentiables in a more balanced post.
Hope it could help other peepz know more about their candidates.
Hahahha! I am very excited with that designation and I think you are just the right person for the job, wahahha!
.-= ever´s last blog ..mEron KAmiNg aNu! =-.
Nag-aaway nga raw ngayun sa ABS-CBN between Koring andRG Cruz dahil sa mga patutsada sa FB about Koring being a first lady…
Aba may bago ka na namang blog pre ah, eheheh!
Lakas mo talagang mambola tol! Hehehhe!
By the way, makakaboto ka by sa absentee voting?
I’d rather go for Villar rather than those no-acomplishment candidates. Villar has spent his own money on the OFWs. The rest of the presidentiables have done NOTHING! except to talk, talk, talk. MABUHAY SI VILLAR – ANG SUSUSNOD NA PRESIDENTE NG PILIPINAS.
Thanks Mon for the visit and on taking part on the dicussion here.
Of course it is I think imperative for voters to always for candidates with accomplishments.
The election is still many months aways and lots of things are still expected to happen…If Villar wins, so be it, that is the democracy at works.
before the formal announcement of Noynoy’s candidacy, it seems that Mr. Boy Abunda of ABS-CBN was supporting Villar’s candidacy. Pero after that announcement, iba na ang sinasabi ni Boy Abuna, na kanyang ibebenta yung bahay niya to support Noynoy’s candidacy.
With this, parang nakikita ko that there are people na susuporta na sana kay Villar but then changed their mind and threw their support to noynoy instead.
So, kung ganito ang situation until the 2010 election, I think, talo si Villar.
anyway, it’s just my thought.

Thanks for the visit Sel! Wow! Kape? hehhehe!
Boy Abunda was Manny Villar’s endorser, but with the sudden change on the political tide, that is Noynoy running for the presidency, Boy has to break away from Manny Villar and support the brother of his BFF Kris Aquino.
Kaya nga nung dati na parang confident na si Villar, naku, everything is like back at the square table for a fair game and everyone needs to come up once again with a new tactic and new strategies.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Sel
Basta ako Bro. Eddie Villanueva for president.
HI! You hit the nail on the head. It’s not like Villar gave away those houses without getting anything in return. He is a business man for crying out loud! He sold those houses and earned billions. DUH! At ano nga ba nangyari sa Capitol bank?
I am not voting for Villar because he has all the qualities of a trapo. And the OFW thing is a sham. You are right, he only started helping them out in the last couple of years. Talagang matinik at switik!!!
palagay ko mananalo pa rin si villar dahil marami pa ring mga uto-utong botante..oopss, not well informed voters pala yung right term hehehe.

Hi Omar!
I guess you are obviously a supporter of Ka Eddie for his bid once again to the presidency.
I personally have reservations with religious leader running for the presidency…but I guess I will just share them in the future, though they have also the advantages against other politicians especially the TRAPO.
HI Mark!
I would have wanted to hit the nail harder, ehehe!
Coz it has been so obvious Bro, very traditional. But I don’t want to sound like Sen. Madrigal here on my article.
Obviously, hindi siya naging billionaire if not for his walstik na style of making business. Darn, for the poor ba yan?
If not uto-uto ahahaha!

Manny Villar need not win the presidential race in order to help the country. All he needs to do is pay all his behest loans, return the money paid by the government for the over valued right of way and ghost lots and return to the poor farmers of Norsagaray the lots he landgrabbed from them.
Now is the time to think if who is the right person to manage our country. I stand for Manny Villar because he has the experience and track record and personal experience from rags to riches story. What we need is someone who can manage well and lead us to prosper. We have plenty of laws but still its not enough, All we need is a good management.
Thanks for the comments Hustisya. Your name alone echoes your sentiments of your opinions.
Villar has been really perceived as a land grabber and all…he may have come from a poor family to rise up as a billionaire but he did not gain such a great amount of personal wealth without being cunning and vicious as a businessman; that he now claims to be a pro-poor advocated and as clean as a lamb.
Thanks for taking time out to comment and share a different view.
It is the beauty of democracy that we all have that freedom to have a healthy political discussion which aims ultimately in having a prosperous and peaceful nation.

Guys,
Villar is a land grabber and tax evader. i know someone who is fighting him in court for grabbing their land in Taytay-Antipolo, Rizal where Villar put his subdivisions. the case is in court for several years already.
i could also attest to his being tax evader. when we bought a property in Palmera we needed to update its tax dec. the property is a house and lot, however, the building is not declared in the tax dec. as far as i know it was marketed and sold before with houses, not just the lots.
prior to us nobody lived in that house so it is the original tax dec.
ok
